It seems weird to me the fan would do the exact opposite of what I expected, but I have scant understanding of physics & engineering. The room just clears up, even though the fog machine is running. But it seems most the fog is being trapped inside the fan hardly any fog came out at all, either before or after the first frozen bottle. I tried putting a 4" duct fan between the fog machine and the 3" perforated drain pipe, using duct tape to seal the excess space at the connection. And not much fog makes it to the end of the pipe (though the middle looks really good). The fog looks pretty good, but in my test runs it seems that a fair bit of fog escapes between the fog machine and the pipe, and through the holes that are just before the first frozen bottle. I'm testing out something like this setup ( Halloween Fog Machine Ideas: How To Make Low Lying Fog - Entertaining Diva), with frozen water bottles in 3" perforated drain pipe, 12 feet long, sealed at the far end with duct tape. Hi! I want to use my (400 W) fog machine in my halloween yard display.
